Returns, Exchanges & Store Credits

We understand at times that you may have an issue with an item you have purchased from us and need to return it - we want to make the process simple and as easy as possible for you. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding our returns policy we are more than happy to help you.


We accept returns as per the ACCC policy of Consumer Guarantee as this cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. 

As a consumer you are entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure (minor failure). 

You are also entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. 

What is a major failure?

As per the Consumer Guarantee a major failure is when the item:

  • has a problem that would have stopped you from buying the item if you had known about it;
  • is unsafe;
  • is significantly different from the sample or description;
  • does not do what we said it would, or what you asked for and cannot be easily fixed.

If the problem is not major, we will either replace the item or repair it within a reasonable time.  If it is not repaired in a reasonable time you can either choose to have a refund or replacement.

If you believe there is a problem with the item you purchased please return it to Mummy Daddy & Me with proof of purchase (receipt).

We may need to send the item to the manufacturer for assessment to determine whether or not you are entitled to an exchange, refund or repair.  If the product has been assessed and found to be not faulty or has been damaged due to inappropriate use, Mummy Daddy & Me has the right to refuse to provide a refund, repair or exchange.

Goods presented for repair may be replaced by refurbished goods of the same type rather than being repaired.  Refurbished parts may be used to repair the goods.

Change of Mind

In addition to your statutory rights under the Australian Consumer Law, if you want to return an item because you have simply changed your mind, the item was a gift or the clothing was not the correct size, Mummy Daddy & Me may offer you:

  • an exchange or store credit for items returned within 7 days of purchase; 

provided that the item:

  • is not a custom order (not in stock item or specifically made as requested)
  • is returned with the original receipt;
  • is unopened & unused, in its original condition and packaging with all tags, instructions manuals and accessories;
  • is not a gift card, discontinued item or an item that was reduced to clear; and
  • is returned together with any free or bonus items that were provided with the item at the time of purchase.

*Note: Mattresses, Change Mats, Linen or Carseats are excluded for returns unless faulty unless they meet the guidelines above AND the packaging is unopened*

If you are offered a Store Credit you will have 14 days to use the credit towards another purchase. Store Credits presented after 14 days from the date of the Credit Note will not be accepted. Store Credits are not transferable.

Custom Orders (not in stock item or specifically made as requested)

At times you may require us to order in a specific product for you that we do not have in stock or you may require us to have a specific sized mattress made for you. These orders are deemed to be Custom Orders.

Custom orders require full payment at the time of purchase and will not be refunded once transaction is complete. However at times we are able to cancel a custom order with a supplier within certain time frames without receiving financial penalties. If we are able to cancel your custom order without financial penalties from the supplier we will offer a store credit which is valid for 14 days from the date of receipt. If we are unable to cancel your custom order without financial penalties to Mummy Daddy & Me you will be liable for the cancellation fee's charged by the supplier and you will be given a store credit for the balance of the transaction if any is remaining.

Accepting an exchange or offering a store credit for Change of Mind or Custom Order Cancellations is solely at the discretion of Mummy Daddy & Me and we reserve the right to refuse a request for exchange or store credit. 

Customers will be liable for all associated shipping costs for any product returned – however if a major fault is found with the product we will reimburse you the charges.
